There are two important questions that as Christians we should ask ourselves? Is it possible that Donald Trump is God’s last call to Christians and to America, in order to shake up the status quo and to get us to turn back to Him? Is Donald Trump also the beginning of the dividing of the wheat from the tare? (Matthew 13:24-30).

Let’s look at the first question. Is Mr. Trump a call from God? The word trump or trumpet as it is used in the bible comes from the Greek word salpinx (English pronunciation) meaning “quavering” or “reverberation.” The word quavering means vibrating or shaking. Reverberation is a persistence of sound, an echo. The word trump is also derived from the Greek word saino (English pronunciation) meaning to shake, to disturb. Trumps or trumpets are used in the bible to announce the coming of a big event. Is Donald Trump an announcement of a big event about to take place in America? Was he put here to shake up the status quo of evil and complacency and to call us back to righteousness? Are the reverberations of God’s call quavering and reverberating throughout heaven?

During two Jewish holidays or celebrations, a shofar (musical instrument made of a ram’s horn), is sounded to “raise a noise.” The shofar is blown during Rosh Hashanah (beginning of a new year) and at the end of Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). Rosh Hashanah is biblically referred to as Yom Teruah, the Feast of Trumpets. Is Donald Trump God’s shofar raising a noise to announce something big is about to happen, and that it is now time for America to atone for its sins?

Now let’s examine the second question. Is Donald Trump also the beginning of the dividing of the wheat from the tare? (Read, Matthew 13:24-30).

We are indeed in the last days; the angel Gabriel calls it in the book of Daniel, “the appointed time of the end.” And if so, God is indeed beginning to shake up things. We also know that before the end comes, (1 Corinthians 15:20-24), Jesus’ second coming, to remove His saints from the earth, will take place. So, are we now in the beginning stages of separation of the wheat from the tare before this removal takes place? Is Donald Trump a test for those who say they are Christians to know the hand of God?

Listen to what Jesus says in John 10:25-27, “I told you, and you do not believe; the works that I do in My Father’s name, these bear witness of Me. But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep. My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me…”

It is now incumbent upon us all to know which side we are on. We cannot be lukewarm. It is the Lord Jesus Christ or nothing. Are you wheat or tare?
